McNair Scholar Participates in UWIN Program
McNair Scholar Takondwa Musa (Economics, Class of 2020) participated in the Urban Water Innovation Network (UWIN) undergraduate research program. UWIN, funded by the National Science Foundation, includes key water industry partners and multiple academic institutions that are designed to address water challenges in a variety of contexts from coastal communities to high plain desserts. Takondwa spent the summer working with Dr. Sukop in Miami, Florida at his host institution Florida International University.
Takondwa’s research utilized social network analysis as an accounting measure to illustrate and understand growth within UWIN since its emergence in 2014. At the end of July, Takondwa presented his research at Colorado State University, Fort Collins during the 2019 UWIN annual meeting.
