The designation marks the second time that Rutgers–New Brunswick was recognized for its exemplary commitment to incorporating community engagement throughout its teaching, research, and co-curricular programming, having originally received the designation in 2010. Rutgers University - New Brunswick is proud member of the Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education.
