Mentoring is important to strengthen our campus community, and we encourage you to explore the programs below and learn about the resources available to you as faculty at Rutgers–New Brunswick. New faculty should check with their dean's office for unit-specific mentoring programs.
OASIS Leadership & Development Program is designed to advance a gender diverse faculty by providing opportunities for all academic women to enhance their leadership, communication and negotiation skills; build stronger networks; increase scholarly productivity; and accelerate career advancement.
Program for Early Career Excellence is designed to support, recruit, retain, and advance a diverse faculty. It is a cohort-based program for early career faculty participating together over a three-year span. The program addresses the needs of all new faculty and includes a focus on factors that have differential impact on underrepresented groups.
The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity is an independent professional development, training and mentoring community of scholars and students from more than 450 colleges and universities. Its resources are intended to benefit faculty and students of color, as well as all who are in need of general mentoring and looking for support during their career transitions.
The Rutgers Connection Network Mentoring Program is designed to increase the engagement and scholarly productivity of Rutgers faculty by providing the infrastructure, training, and facilitation that enable faculty to participate in effective and collaborative mentoring partnerships with faculty beyond the departmental level.
