Information

Open to faculty, staff, and students.

We want to take the time to dive deeper into this one invisible disability especially because of how prominent we feel it is around our office, around campus, and around the world. We see post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) every day in our trauma survivors, and then we were seeing PTSD in students and colleagues after COVID; now we are seeing PTSD in everyone around us for many reasons, including the wars and unrest in other countries, protests, politics, gun violence, and more. This event is not meant to be political or to talk about the events that are causing PTSD but to talk about how much PTSD is around and among us and to admit that a lot of us are struggling. This event is also meant to help individuals become aware of the symptoms of PTSD, learn about the resources, and start to learn how they can take care of themselves if they notice these symptoms within themselves.
