Shanique J. Lee, PhD, is a Race and Social Justice in Education Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Graduate School of Education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and her Master of Education in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia. Her doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Urban Education were completed at UNC Charlotte, along with a Graduate Certificate in Antiracism in Urban Education.

Dr. Lee’s research addresses the challenges confronting justice-oriented Black educators. She employs critical paradigms to investigate the context of teaching and its impact on the mental health, wellbeing, and sustainability of Black educators.
