Ron Quincy (he/him/his) is a professor of professional practice at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning & Public Policy. He was the founding Academic Director for the Rutgers Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Civic Leadership Institute. Dr. Quincy teaches Principles of Public Policy, Managing People & Organizations, Community Organizing, Global Poverty, Community Planning in the USA & Global South & Poverty in the USA. He also teaches a course in the School of Arts & Sciences Honors Program; Anti-Apartheid and Civil Rights Movements: King & Mandela--Lessons in Leadership. Earlier in his career, Dr. Quincy served as a cabinet member for two Michigan Governors, heading the Department of Civil Rights, Office of Human Resource Policy & Special Projects; and special assistant to the governor. He was associate vice president at Harvard University, and was appointed assistant to Harvard's president. Dr. Quincy was executive director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, and president of the White House Fellows Foundation & Association.
