Latisha Scott currently teaches courses in sport sociology, gender issues in sport, exercise and sport psychology, and fitness management. Her publications and research focus on racial and athletic identity, childhood obesity, health disparities, and multicultural issues in health, sport, and physical education. As a certified fitness professional for over 30 years, Dr. Scott regularly contributes to community programs that focus on health education, disease prevention, and life skill development. She is also the coordinator for the Council for Leadership, Equity, and Diversity in Sport (CLEDS) which is housed in the Department of Kinesiology and Health.
