Kimberly Cook-Chennault

Dr. Kimberly Cook-Chennault is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Rutgers University with graduate faculty roles in the Biomedical Engineering and Educational Psychology Departments. She holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and Stanford University respectively, and a PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research interests include: the investigation of structure-property relationships in piezoelectric materials for biomedical and energy storage/conversion applications and, engineering education student motivation and learning pathways through digital educational games and virtual/remote technologies using mixed and multi-modal tools and methods. Dr. Cook-Chennault has been honored for her commitment to creating inclusive learning and working environments by the Rutgers’ Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in STEM Diversity and the Women in Engineering ProActive Network (WEPAN).
